NOVEMBERS UP COMING ACTIVITIES TO DATE
Tue. Nov. 1 Wake in Canaan from 5 to 8 PM.
Tue Nov. 1 Northwest Det 042 monthly meeting at 7 PM. VFW Hall.
Election of officers scheduled.
Fri. Nov. 4 Flag presentation at the Pearson Junior High School in Winsted
Company C. USMC Reserves will be presenting a duplicate of
their guidon to the students of Pearson, in return the students
will be giving Charlie Company a flag to take into Iraq with
them. Torrington & Canaan need to get as many members
from their Detachments and Auxiliary’s as possible with their
Guidon’s.
Sat. Nov. 5 Veteran of the month ceremony at the All Wars Memorial in
Bantam. Will be lowering Navy Corpsman FMF Robert
Stanton and presenting flag to family at 10AM.
Sun Nov. 6 Veterans Day Parade in Hartford, parade steps off at 1 PM.
Who is going? Do we have a color guard?
Tue. Nov. 8 Torrington Memorial Det. 1142 monthly meeting at 7 PM,
at KoC.
Thu. Nov. 10 Flag presentation for Bridget Seyer’s 6th Grade Class at the
Ann Antolini School, Antolini Road, New Hartford. (Need
To Check Time With John Putnoki). John & I could use some
help.
Thu. Nov. 10 Marine Corps Birthday Dinner at the Elks Lodge in
Torrington. At 6 PM.
Fri. Nov. 11 Veterans Day ceremony at Coe Park at 10:30 AM,
Fri. Nov. 11 Marine Corps Birthday Ball at the Aqua-Truff in Southington
at 6 PM.
Sat. Nov. 12 Veteran of the month ceremony at Coe Park at 10 PM.
Sun Nov. 13 Devil Dog Growl at Ron Collins house, 1202 Poquonock
Ave. Windsor at 1 PM.
